SOSHE CARES

Meet Our Sustainability Partners

Less Plastic with Every Refill

SOSHE continues to prioritize sustainability in all our business practices. This begins with plastic. We are a certified plastic negative business. For every product, we sell our partners remove 2x its weight in plastic.

  • Measure

SOSHE donates a percentage of every product purchased to fund the collection of 2x the weight of every mascara in low-value plastic waste from oceans and landfills.

  • Compensate

Low-value plastic is collected, processed, and reused by Project Anant Pranay that employs and empowers waste pickers to tackle plastic waste.

  • Reduce

SOSHE will work with rePurpose global to reduce the future use of virgin plastics in their products and build a more circular business and delivery model for their company.

Certified Plastic Negative

SOSHE has joined in its commitment to sustainability and the reduction of plastic waste by officially being certified plastic negative.

This means that for every product we sell that contains plastic, we fund the removal of at least twice as much nature-bound plastic waste from landfills and natural environments to be recycled and repurposed.

Our funding helps Project Anant, a local woman-owned enterprise, Civic Response Team (CRT) to catalyse the collection and ethical processing of low-value, soft plastic packaging waste (MLP) that would have otherwise been dumped in overflowing and hazardous landfill.

Pact Membership

We’ve partnered with PACT collective to make recycling your empty beauty containers easier. There are an estimated 120 Billion beauty packages made each year and most of those are headed to the garbage because they are too small or difficult to recycle conventionally. With this partnership, you can recycle your empties through their drop-off bins or via our mail-in program. Just make sure to clean your empties!
